Kristy went to get something out of her car while I was showering and locked herself out. She rang the doorbell a few times and waited. And waited. Finally Kristy heard footsteps, but the door still didn’t open.

“Adara, its me!” Kristy called out.

Adara opened the door and said “Whew! I was afraid it was a Jesus freak!”

“Where did you hear that?” Kristy asked.
“Dada.”

Birthday Party at Chuck-E-Cheese

8th birthday party was with the mouse. Her best friends all showed up and had a great time. Adara, of course, loved the extra presents.

She didn’t want to get into the ticket wind tunnel, so I did it for her. Kids loved it.

Christmas Pictures

Oh what a Christmas!

So many presents for Adara! A big wheel like bike, a life size Elvis poster, a so-so happy hoodie, and a magic kit just to name a few.

The “big” present was from Santa, of course. A big fluffy canopy for Adara’s bed. Somehow, Santa managed to get the canopy up while Adara slept. At 2 am Christmas morning I woke up to screams of “Dada! Dada! Come in here!” When I came into Adara’s room, she was kneeling in her bed, staring up at the canopy. She said, “I got the canopy I wanted! And Santa put it up while I slept! It had to be magic, because if you’d done it you would have needed tools and it would have woken me up! Santa is real!”

Best. Christmas. Ever.
