Mummy Girls
Adara loves mummies. Lately, she’s also been thinking about being famous – because she has a movie star name.
I don’t know how she came up with this, but she decided to start a band, Mummy Girls, and has sort of written a song, also called Mummy Girl. Here’s the lyrics.

Nail Polish
Some of Adara’s friends at school have nail polish so Adara has been askin Kristy if we could paint her nails for weeks, maybe months.
Kristy finally gave in.
Adara initially picked out a dark metallic purple that I quite liked. But the bottle broke and when touch up time came we had to strip off the purple. Adara’s second choice was a bible gum pink.

Crap
I was napping, half awake, on the couch one Saturday morning while Adara was playing with her Nintendo.
She growls and says “crap!”
I roll over and ask “what did you say?”
She pauses for a moment. Looks at me and says “uh, nothing.”
Her first swearing. Ah, the precious moments.
